Terry grew up in Blackheath and was lifelong Charlton Athletic supporter. He also loved watching rugby. He was a keen golfer and had been a member at Shooter's Hill Golf Club since 1976.He and his wife of 45 years, Gill, regularly hiked both locally and in the Lake District. They completed Hadrian Wall and South Downs Way. He was a wonderful husband to Gill and father to his children, Vicky and Tim. He adored his 5 grandchildren, Tommy, Maddy, Amy, Lottie and Ben
